Do you know what type of electric panel you have?
- Today's homes should have at least 150 amps. Older homes, unless their electrical system has been upgraded, are being overburdened. These outdated electric systems and panels can't safely handle the demands of today's society.
- Labeling helps to identify which circuit powers which room.
- Circuit breakers that are constantly tripping indicate that the circuit is overloaded or that other electrical hazards exist. Consult a qualified, licensed electrician.
- AFCI's (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters) are devices that replace standard circuit breakers in the electrical service panel and reduce the risk of home electrical fires.
